Took my daughter (11) with me to the lake this afternoon to meet two buds and do some riding. After she saw one wake-boarding (correctly), she wanted to ride. She's been riding for a few years now but our old 'usual' lake was never good for riding, so she always just rode straight behind the boat. Tonight we had sweet water at the new 'usual' lake and she took off crossing the wake like she's been doing it for years. And now she loves it!

It's taken a while, but now I just pray it 'sticks'. And of course I had already put the camera up because it was getting too dark for pictures.

I hope it sticks too. Mine are not as addicted to the sport as I am. So I encourage their friends to go out with us, to incite a little peer pressure.

Wish I could because my son definitely does more with an audience. Just hard to plan ahead with my crew, always seems to be last minute trips (or last minute cancelled)

We often have this problem too. If we don't have their friends with us usually my kids don't even want a pull. I keep thinking that they will grow out of it.

My 10 year old just figured out this year that he can go out of the wake and jump back in. He loves it now and will go for a second board even.
