What were the top three to five priorities you used in buying your boat. Mine were 1) wake change flexibility 2) quality (construction and interior) 3) warranty 4) people capacity, and 5) storage space.

1. Functionality/usability/build
2. STOCK wake (hate the concept of being forced to fill a brand new boat with bags)
3. ride - don't always wakeboard/surf.. sometimes just cruise. How did it handle rough water?
4. dealer/support
5. bells and whistles

1. stock wake without bags everywhere( did that before and was very good at flooding boat with stinky lake water)
2. storage (sick of climbing over boards and gear)
3. build quality (had Malibu for a summer and have first hand experience with it)
4. no carpet (see #1 and much easier to keep the boat smelling and looking fresh)

1. Can I get a price from the dealer, that works, and switch boats mid summer without missing a bunch of water time
2. Is it the Byerly Icon
3. Does it fit in my garage
4. Can I get rid of my current boat or get a decent trade in value.
Luckily it worked out, if it didn't I would probably have ended up with whatever wakeboard boat was the best deal used once I sold my previous I/O.

I was comparing only the G23 to the 2013 X-Star. For me, there was no 3rd option. I spent at least 10 hours in them and behind them before deciding.
1. Wakeboard wake size and how it hits (firmness / shape) w/ OE ballasts
2. Wakesurf size and shape w/ OE ballasts
3. Interior size, layout, comfort, etc.
4. Build quality (which I considered very close to equal, and always have)
5. NSS...but I didn't know it at the time.
Since TXMC was an overall good dealer it never crossed my mind to figure out if Buxton was or wasn't. I naively assumed all dealers were at least reasonably good when spending $100k+ on a boat every few years. Turns out I just got lucky to live within range of the best Nautique dealer in the world and didn't even know it until a few months ago! #spoiled
