Whats everyone running now? I am still dialing in the wave but so far:

    NCRS 5
    NSS 2
    100% Belly
    100% Port
    75% starboard
    500lbs in each rear locker
    700lbs in the bow
    2749 prop on the 450

I would take that weight out of the bow, for the little bit of length it gives you, it's not worth the loss in push. My kids know the only time they need to get out of the bow is when dad is surfing.

As you can see there are a lot of recipes. I admit that the factory ballast is more than enough tot make a very impressive wave. We use factory ballast on the weekends then on Mondays, aka Surf Monday, we go out at 5:00 and have the entire lake to ourselves. That's when we'll fill all tanks and put a 750 bag up front and add some additional ballast to the 1100s I have in the rear lockers.

Bottom Line......there's many ways to create a great wave but you are the one that decides what is a great wave. You do have the right boat for this so make some adjustments and see what you like best. I will say that the wave is different every time we go out as it just depends on the size of your crew. Also make sure you are surfing in at least 12 feet of water. Anything less than 12 feet of water will decrease the size of the wave.
