Did the prop shaft size change between the 2013 550 and the 2014 550? I thought I say that it was 0.125" thicker diameter, but then heard that it was only the area where the prop slides on that was made thicker for the 17". Any ideas?

The 550 swings a big boy shaft. 1-1/4" but the taper is machined to accept a 1-1/8" style propeller.

one thing I forgot to include up top was that I did notice more cabin vibration from the drivetrain on the 14 450 vs the 13 450s that I have driven. Im not sure if it was just this specific boat but I did not care for that. I have always like how Nautique boats were smooth and minimal to zero drivetrain vibration. One thing I was wondering is if the surf pipe could be resonating more vibration from the drivetrain into the hull of the boat.

I am jealous of what Nautique has done for 2014 as I have a 2013. However after looking at a lot of peoples posts I feel like they do not know how to use NCRS. I have a 2013 450. At full oem ballast (when it is spewing out the sides) extra 500 pounds in port locker and a 150 pound driver I can consistently get to 23.7 mph around 9 seconds. The trick is to turn the NCRS to Auto and High intensity. Tonight I rode and the NCRS was not on auto and the boat took probably around 15+ seconds to get up to speed. NCRS makes a huge difference especially when the intensity is on high. Just saying I would love a 2014, but the 2013 is only 2 seconds behind. I also have stock prop and if anyone ever made a 16x12 or a 17x12 the 2013 would probably be just as fast. So for all of you people out there who have 2013's or feel like you shouldn't consider a 2013

This... lion90 and I were out this past weekend and it didn't seem like much more than 10 seconds with stock full and 6 people in the boat.

I have black chromax on my 210 and all I can say is be careful with it. I am not sure why but the finish on the port side on mine seems to be coming off and it is discoloring badly already, seems like the chrome is a bit hardier than the black. The stbd side is another story, the middle prong of the E in Nautique is missing, good thing the G23's don't have to lean as hard as the 210's for wakesurfing.

I ride typically with no spotter, also it seems that you need 200 pounds more on the port side bc the torque that is put on the boat from the prop spinning. Old school Nautiques used to spin the opposite direction which I heard was designed for no spotter on the slalom course the wave would be even. (made hard for docking the boat) I also ride regular even though I do lots of switch and toe side tricks I tend to like 100 or so more pounds on the port side, it makes the lip a little steeper for my Heel side tricks.
