Cool wakeurfing video from the other day.

My son gives a few attempts at getting air on the surfboard. We had about 9 people on the boat that day and the wave was massive! Check it out here. --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ez6OcQEFvnQ

What boat is that on? I think you have an '08 230 right? How much ballast besides the passengers?

Factory tank and a piggy back 400. No mid-ship or bow weight other than passengers and the Hydro-gate was on slalom mode.

That's hardly any weight, very nice and clean wave for that amount of ballast!

Thanks man! Yep the 230 throws a pretty good wave with very little weight

Just a little tangent...how much do you save in gas per year with your boat running on propane?

We fill up our boat once a year with petrol (60 gallons), just for reserve fuel and to use the fuel injectors a bit. The rest is propane usage.

We use the boat around 100hrs a year. Using around 25ltr (6gallons) an hour. That is 2500ltr a year. Price difference is in NL aprox €1,- per litre between propane and petrol. So it saves us €2500,- per year. That is about $3300 at the moment.

A big plus is that you are more versatile with 2 fuels on board (we keep the boat in an harbor).
Propane is much cleaner than petrol.
Engine is running much smoother on propane.
                Oil keeps cleaner on propane.

Disadvantage is that we are loosing storage with the portable propane tanks.

That's really cool!! What all did you have to change to make it run on propane? Aren't there some safety issues since propane is so volatile?
