Yes, I see that. Wakemakers only has up to 2016 listed...that is 2017. Thanks for the info. Will be interesting to see if they start falling off.

The M235 has a 17" prop since it was built. The 2017 24MXZ and later also has a 17" prop. Not sure on the 25 LSV. No issues on any of those boats so far.

QC issue with a specific vendor that spans 3 or 4 model years? Seems odd. Doesn't seem to be a huge issue or it would be posted about more than it has - but I'm not fully buying the explanation.

That said - it hasn't stopped us from deciding a G will be our next boat.

Wow, pretty cool to see the other part this time. Clearly a stress crack that caused the failure. Ar they still saying this was a bad run of shafts, or shaft is not big enough to withstand the torque?

bad run of shafts due to poor metallurgic process or something like that. no rhyme or reason to when it happens

Same thing happened again...2nd time. 1st time was last July 2017. Nautique will replace the shaft again but no compensation for my loss of use. I am surprised Nautique has not been sued over this.

So you had 2 bad shafts on same boat? Not good

Yup, not surprising though if they are just replacing the broken part with the exact same part.

The shaft in my 2018 G23 with 88 hours sheared off yesterday. I was also told that there were manufacturing problems with the supplier. It sounds like this is the standard response but now I'm not so sure. Boat is in for repairs now.

Shaft on my 2018 G23 H6Di sheared yesterday while surfing. 88 hours on the boat. Some brief vibration then lost the prop. I hope Nautique gets to the bottom of this. I am a long time Nautique owner but this really concerns me now...

Perhaps with the trans ratio power and the 17" prop, its just too much torque for the size shaft on there now to adequately handle the power, and they need a thicker shaft. Telling people that that shafts are undersized, can create issues, so maybe its easier to stick to the bad supplier story at this point even tho it no longer makes any sense.

I thought you were running a 17 1/2 inch prop, could that size have added more stress on the shaft ?

Uggh...It does seem to be happening less than it used to be, if that is any consolation.

Has anyone answered why this seems to be a Nautique specific thing? I think I saw it once on The Malibu crew, but couldn't find it later. Have not seen it anywhere else. It isn't like Nauti has the most powerful engines in the world.

Yeah, it is very strange that it seems primarily to be a Nautique thing. So this makes it every single year of the G23, 2013-2018.
