I just realized today that my G23 has spent more time broken at the dealership than on the water. Plus the thousands of dollars I have wasted on trips, on which the boat breaks. It is time to get the dealer to lemon the boat based on inability to use it. My broken G23 has sold 11 boats (that I know of) for other boat brands to friends and colleagues whom I have warned and some have witnessed. My dealer and Nautique are losing sales and the salesman knows it because several of those 11 contacted him first. I have been biting my tongue on social media until recently. We will see what happens.2019 SAN G23 | 2016 SAN G23 | 2013 Wakesetter 23 LSV | 2008 Wakesetter 23 LSV | 2003 Wakesetter 23 LSV | 2000 Wakesetter VLX | 1998 Sanger V210 | 1994 Magic Sceptor 28 | 1985 Cole TR2 | Too many PWC to count!

While not a hole, it's a nice size gouge in the gel that would make me mad too. Also look at it from his perspective...it's another issue on a long list.'08 196LE (previous)

I bought a new leftover 2017 G23 earlier this year. While on my annual Lake Powell trip in June, the transmission completely failed because the front seal failed and drained all of the transmission fluid into the bilge. Anyway, as part of the warranty replacement, Nautique told the dealer to proactively change the shaft and prop even though the shaft did not fail. I was told that there was a fairly long run of defective shafts from one specific supplier that have had an extremely high rate of failure and that my boat fell within the production run of those defective shafts. Allegedly, the new shafts are from a different supplier and do not suffer from the same issue. I called BS and pointed out that the shaft failure issue has been occurring for years. The dealer response was that there are several production runs of defective shafts. But that Nautique believes that the newest versions of the shafts will not suffer from this failure. I don't necessarily believe these statements--just passing along information recently conveyed to me.2017 G23

Looking at the positive side, at least my boat has low hours since it is in the shop so much.
