test drove and surfed 2014 210 today!

Loved it! Not much more to say. It surfed better than the MC x30 in my opinion, nice steep long wave. My dealer did confirm a G21 later this season, but I think that this is really the boat for us. I'd be happy to answer any questions about it.

Have you surfed a 2013 210 before to compare to the 2014? Any pics of the wave? Did he say anything about the specifics of the G21

Inside the boat seemed a little deeper than a 2013. Didn't notice too much diff between the surf wave because when we demo a 2013 last week, we added the same ballast weight that was on the 2014 w/sacs. No specifics on the G21, just approx. weight and shape. They told me that it would look exactly like a 23 only two feet shorter, they thought it would be the same width as a 23?? I think I might put a down payment on the 210?? Leaving mastercraft feels weird.. Any last thoughts to pull me over??

Nautique and MC both make great boats just gotta find the boat from both manufactures that fits you best. I think by Nautique having a surf system you'll see alot of ex-MC owners here.

The surf system is whats pulling me over. as for the G21, I just can't afford the extra $ for the boat and the upgraded lift that I'd need. I really liked the 210. I was very impressed, as I haven't spent much time in a Nautique. I was surfing a MC X1, so it was a big change!

What kind of ballast were you running in the 210?

Nice, glad you got out to test out both. I would wait to check out the G21. You can still get a good deal in the spring with the boat show pricing and that way you will not have a doubt.

I have a 2012 210 with NSS. Absolutely love everything about the boat and the wave it produces. I no longer wakeboard but everyone who rides behind our 210 is crazy about it.

You'll be pleased with a Nautique!

I think there is a near zero chance of getting a G21 w/ trailer at 105$.

I'd bet you'll be into 115-120 for a low optioned G21 on trailer.

all they are removing is 2ft of fiberglass. Everything else still is in there and costs the same. Maybe more because of the increased r&d for the hull and trying to make it all fit.

the good thing is, that 450 on the 17" prop will be a PERFECT match and great power for that boat. That will help keep the cost down, No 550 needed.

If they could sell a well optioned 450 G21 on trailer under $110k, they'd need to increase their production capability by a huge amount, they'd sell like hotcakes. Malibu VLX, MC 25, and all the other 21ft boats would get hit HARD.

I could see $105. What's the price diff between a 23 and 25? You would think a 21 would fall along those same price spreads. And I've heard of nicely equipped g23s being sold new as low as $115 and that's with the 450. So I could see a g21 getting down to $100k out the door. They need to be there to compete with the x-25 I would think.
