My 13 G23 w 450 unweighted drafts right around 25-26 and slightly less than my prev x-star. With new 17" prop, the 2014 450s prob draft another 1.5.

But I do not know the initial increased prop draft during acceleration.

Yeah I thought one of the cool things about the G when it came out was that it was advertised to actually draft less than a 210. Really loved the G and can't wait to see what the G21 will be like!

I should clarify on the capabilities of the 2014 450 (from my experience only). It's actually probably close to being able to handle about 2400 extra weight, and that is with the factory prop. Who knows ACME may come out with something that will be even more aggressive, and could maybe run a few hundred more pounds. I know that there is a more aggressive prop available for the 550, but I have yet to try it. I'd imagine that would up the 550 to around 3400 pounds, maybe??? I plan to get it as a back-up for next year.

Iron, I think more is possible, more like 4k lbs over OEM. The current prop we need to max weight carry on the 550 G23 just isnt currently available. But it can be made. We know the 2315 15"dia 12"pitch .105cup is just a little too agressive, slips at 25mph. We need more grab on the water... and not quite so small "baby steps" with the 12" pitch and more diameter.

I just got off the phone with Robert at Nettles props.

You send them your OEM 550 prop: 15" dia 14.25" pitch .150 cup

For somewhere in the $200 range + or -..... not 100% sure yet as they dont know how many man hours to complete....

The will make that prop 15.5 to 15.75"dia... and drop pitch to somewhere around 13-13.5".... you choose what cup you want, anywhere in the .105 to .150 range.

fairly certain THAT will get you your extra 1000lbs., maybe more. The current prop we need: 16x13ish, 17x13ish for the 550 just isnt avail yet.

Yea, I'm hoping they'll come out with a 16x13is prop or something similar, in the near future. I'm interested to try out the 2249 (same as factory, but with .105 cup), but I didn't want to get forced into buying a prop with the 1 1/8" diameter, since it won't fit on next years shafts.
