Thoughts on the 2013 Throttle Redesign?

Well I hope it improves with break in because the decent is quick and it could be dangerous.

I have had zero issues with my 2013 G23's throttle. We have about 8 folks that drive the boat and no one has commented on the throttle being different.

Have to say the throttle was about the only thing that I found to complain about with my demo last season on the G. Same for my buddies who are MC guys that went with me on the demo. In my option the throttle felt cheap... Basically like some Chinese knock off. Sorry.

Can someone post a photo or description of the new throttle for those of us stuck back in 2010?

The throttle on my 2013 is a pain. Very nerve racking coming into a tight area with the new system.

Found this one really quickly. It is a picture from a 2014 G25.




All I can say is no thank you. Unfortunately that ruins just about everything I like in my current throttle. That thing looks like it belongs on an I/O. I love my small sleek throttle that fits in the palm of my hand easily; it screams I'm an inboard and I love that.

At this point I am OK with the look, just takes a lot of finesse. Old style was like a well oiled machine/very easy to get in/out of gear.

I just took my 2014 200 OB out for a spring run here in Minnesota and the throttle seemed just fine. I now have 12 hours on it. Maybe it just needed to be broken in. Its nice to be skiing again!!!!
