    4 board racks for a g?

I was wanting to put another set of board racks on my g23. I was thinking about mounting them on the front legs and have them swivel over the windshield to get the boards off. what are your thoughts about it? It kills me that the boat will only hold 4 boards!!

I usually just keep the extra boards in the V-drive lockers, there is a ton of space. I use the Z5 for the surfboards (the ducking down for people over 6 ft tall is a minor inconvenience compared to the functionality IMO). I dont see why racks on the front legs wouldnt work, if they clear whichever bimini you have. Personally, I wouldnt care for the look, but to each his own. Would you order the factory racks or go aftermarket?

Do the factory on the rear but put the aftermarket on the front. I'm 6'7 so head room is a huge deal to me. Lol. We do use the rear now but would like something different.

Yeah, I imagine at 6'7" it would be a PITA. My friend is an O lineman for the Eagles, when he is on the boat he hits his head no less than a dozen times. But at 330# it is nice to have extra ballast for surfing.

Not sure why you would mount them to the FRONT legs of the tower, I'd use the back legs, right under the exisiting racks, and they would swivel in just like the OEM racks.

I am considering using a pair of these and having them powdercoated:

Yes, I wish they came with a bigger surf rack like that one Ryan.

please tell us how that works for you, especially if you get them powdercoated.

I have a big boy board too, and would love it out of the way.

              Thanks.

v-drive lockers. I regularly keep 2 surfboards, 3 wakeboards and a bunch of vests.. in ONE of the lockers.
