Thinking about buying a new Ski 200 OB

Been away for quite a while but have still been boarding behind my 09 230. After several years of giving the 'wake' sports a try. I'm just not really digging it. I am more into the slalom and barefooting.

The last time I had any form of ski boat was a 1993 Sport Nautique that was sweet, had it for about 5 years.

Does anyone happen to have a list of all the options and pricing for a new 200OB ski nautique?
Are dealers or Nautique running any special deals still with the economy being better but still not great by any means?
When would be the best time to place on order?

If you really want to foot opt for the 409. The 200 hull is a ton of hull to push through the water and the top speed with a 343 is relatively unimpressive.

What would you say the 343 vs 409 top speeds are? Also is the 409 a lighter motor? I remembered years back some guys were saying the 409 was actually a lighter motor but not by a lot.

409 is lighter by a bit.(aluminum heads more lean design etc) Not a whole lot. I think the 200 in stock form 343 is running around 42-43 mph. I could be a little off someone else may chime in. I only run slalom speeds in 200s usually. I would guess (stress guess) 45-46 with a 409.

I haven't heard from anyone what the top speed with the 654 prop vs. the 1868 is. None of our customers ever run 200's over 36 as they are all on private slalom lakes locally anyways.

I will be out in a 12 343 skiing tomorrow night if I remember I could gps the thing.

Nice! If you found a nice 07-09 196 with the 6.0 I wouldn't discount that boat either.

General consensus is that the 343 200 runs 42-44, and the 409 pushes 47 or so. Jody has played with a few props and I think has touched 50 with both his 409 and 450 powered 200's following break in.

Any 196 with an Excal or better should have no problem running barefoot speeds... even TSC2 or TSC3 non-gated boats should run 45-46. Non-gated 6.0L's should push 49. Gated Excals should run 47-48 and gated 6.0L's should run 51-52.

My dealer in Illinois has an awesome 200 promo and he's been moving boats pretty good over the last two weeks. It's a 13 black and red metal flake. Boat is kept on a private lake used by the developer. I can pass the info if you're interested?

My guy just took my 200v and I left with a new 210. He worked very reasonable numbers with me and has the promo in the shop. Pm and I can send a link.
