2009 Super Air Nautique Team Edition - Input wanted!!

Hey Everyone,

Looking for a little input from anyone regarding a 2009 SANTE. Looking to make a purchase, however I am a little suspect seeing that is it a rental boat. Also, the price seems a little low for an '09.

With it priced aggressively I decided to take the afternoon and go look it over. After taking some time to perform an extensive review at the interior/exterior I was quite impressed. Some signs of wear (small gelcoat work needed, all above water line), no signs of osmosis, some mold/mildew where cushions sat up against one another, two mall tears in the rear port/starboard cushions. With a little elbow grease will clean up very nicely.

Any and all input wanted. I have attached a link to the kijiji add. The add is for a 2010 Air Nautique which had me also confused. Confirmed it was a 2009 super air nautique this afternoon.

Buy it fast...Ask dealer to warranty motor for like 2 or 3 mos...everything else is on you...pay nautique to transfer both (they are separate) lifetime hull and parts warranty if anytime left. and then have nautique replace the ripped seats and everything else broken. i got like 3 seats, and some other stuff.

If it seems too cheap then just ask the seller to warranty the drivetrain. Since there is a sign of mildew I would ask to see if the boat as ever been underwater or has any form of extensive water damage.

Tuesday I am taking the boat for a test drive. Will most likely have a mechanic check it out as well. With regards to the drivetrain warranty I was thinking the same thing. Mildew was very minimal. The cover he uses for the boat has no vents to release the hot air/moisture. Used a rag that I had brought and with a few wipes most of it had come off. Snap in carpet in great shape, no signs of extensive water exposure.

Can the total number of hours be manipulated? Is there a quick way to verify the exact number of hours on the engine?

Per Jason Clark at Faria, "The hours are reported from the ECU to the gateway. Then the gateway send the information to the tach."

I don't think the gateway can store info. So it is being passed from ECU. I am unsure if the ECU can be manipulated. (Engine Control Unit).

That's minimum 20,000$ below market in Canada!! Crazy crazy price. You can use it for 5 years are resell it for that price! lol

If everything checks out you might have just found the deal of the year! With 200hrs it seems too good to be true.

Buy it fast because I'll go buy it to resell 20k more next spring.

Price is right! I just picked up a 13 two weeks ago and love it. 343 is plenty of power, interior has a 5 year so you should be able to get that replaced now, just try to transfer the hull warranty through the dealer. Very nice colors!

Ask what happened to the graphics, it may answer an unknown question. I may peel them off mine and I did remove about half of them on my 11 Sport 200.

Is this in gravenhurst? That boat was run up on shore the Saturday of the antique boat show. The sound was just owful . For sure all the under water gear was lost.

Yes this boat is currently for sale in Gravenhurst by a boat rental agency. Boat rentals Canada. No signs that it was beached, that I could see from a pretty good top to bottom. Unless some serious work has been for since then.
