    G23 vs 230 surf wave

Does the G23 have a better wave than the 230? I heard the 230 was easier to get clean and possibly a bit longer.

Been behind both. The 230 wave is awesome! The G23 wave felt taller but maybe because it was steeper?

Its kinda preference but from what I have heard the 230's wave is a bit longer but doesn't have as much push and it wasn't steep. A G23 weighted with 750's in the rear hatches and 7/8 in the front tank will throw the best wave all day any day.

I've been behind both with the NSS. It depends upon the settings but IMO the G set on NCRS 5 and NSS on 3 is similar to the 230 with the pro sacks. The wave gets longer with the NSS set at 3. At 5 and 0 G is steeper, shorter and has more push. I think the G gives you more options.
2013 G23 450 with NSS (175hrs) and still have the original prop

Whats a good ballast setup for the G23 if you wanted a nice long wave?

I use the NCRS to lengthen the wave (0 being shortest, 5 being longest), and the NSS to steepen the wave up (0 being mellow, 5 being steep). Typically the longest wave is made using a NCRA of 5 and the NSS of between 1-3 depending on weight configuration. Ryan will likely chime in, he tends to have one of the most dialed in waves around.

i liked the 230 wave better. a bit longer at times. g seemed steeper to me. i like the 14 210 the best for surfing after testing all three. tried to test them all with the same conditions and same weight.
