Need a prop to get me from 0-23 better. Running the 750 ballast + up to 1500lbs + people. Dealer said lowest pitch prop i could get was what comes on TE. Would like to know what pitch TE comes with and what others have experimented with. Am i better getting mine re-pitched or cupped or getting a new one? I live on a deep lake so i have no reason to carry around a 2nd prop if i dont have to. Thanks, Jon

RE: Prop choice for heavily weighted 211 TE 330EX
Jon - I just went from a limited prop on my 210 to a 644 4 blade and love it. Top speed suffers, but when you nail the throttle it gets out of the whol and planes QUICKLY. I run about 1500-2000 lbs of ballast and three or four people and had no problems whatsoever. I know its a different boat, but I would expect the outcome to be similar. Good luck

RE: Prop choice for heavily weighted 211 TE 330EX
Jonfo should already have the 644, the 211 is heavier then the 210. I cannot believe that they even offer the 211 with the base motor, I feel it's a struggle with the 330 Excalibur, but I am coming from a 196 that had a GT-40.
Jonfo, it won't get much better then what you have now. Are you starting with the wakeplate in slalom mode then switching to wakeboard after it planes? It makes a big difference, I started doing after Clubmyke make the recommendation.
I will pick up a custom tweaked prop for my 211 tomorrow. Bay Propeller in Alameda, CA is putting a progressive pitch on my factory Acme prop. It will be progressive with the leading edge starting at 15" pitch ramping up to 17" at the trailing edge. I will be testing it at Lake Shasta this weekend, report to follow early next week.

Jonfo,
You can run the 856, but you need to watch the rpms at the top end as this prop will allow the motor to exceed it's recommendations.

RE: Prop choice for heavily weighted 211 TE 330EX
Another update on my prop "experiment"...
My Acme 380 (13.5x17.5) was repitched to a variable pattern with the leading edge of the blades at 15.5 and the trailing edges at 17.5. The prop definately had more out of the hole then it did out of the box. However it's still a little too much prop for the loaded 211 with the 330, it's probably the perfect prop for the boat with a ZR6 since it would help flatten out the ZR6's powercurve.
Performance numbers:
wide open throttle 4800rpm @45mph, 3600rpm @34mph, about 2400rpm @ 24mph (very close to 100rpm/mph across the band, as witnessed on the analog gauges, my wife kept getting the tach confused with the speedo). Good out of the hole until it was loaded, better then the stock 380 but still too slow for my liking. This would also be a good prop from a gas mileage standpoint if you didn't load the boat much. One other thing was that the boat made a bit more rumble with the prop, almost like there was a little blade turbulance above 34mph.
My next move is to take my 536 down to the prop shop and have them put a variable pitch of 15.5-16.5 on it. Plus their "non-slip" tips. Then I will have two good but slightly different props for use on my boat.
