You misunderstood my statement! haha. Operate within a reasonable budget. Debit ceiling cant be something we fall back on again and again or you will get in the situation we are currently in... Totally agree with only being able to vote if you are a "payer". We need a feasible budged based on current economics like you said. If not they will continue to operate with the mindset of "it's ok just raise the debit ceiling."

Nope...I fully understood. But the reply was not explicitly directed to your statement. I just added some clarity for those on the left who might misunderstand.

Ha cool, Just making sure you understood which side I was coming from (thought you did). I just try to not think about all of the issues I have no control over.

If you would have asked me at age up to 25 ish or under...if I wanted to be in politics. The answer would have been NFW.

If you asked me today, the answer would be "get out of my way!"

          Some real comments:

          1. One problem is that I'd only be a great lawmaker today because of my work/life training and experiences that "turned me out this way." Back then, it might be easy for me to be "one of them." Its unfortunate, that most of both sides don't have any practical experience. I do salute John McCain - although many times he's a political b0mb or has his head in his a55.

          2. I believe I could win any election - but I have a closet full of skeletons...and maybe some bodies with flesh still on them. I've broken a few commandments in my life.

          3. I have some compassion but generally I'm right of Reagen. I'm not quite to Bork, but I fully understand the credibility of his position.

          4. My kids are being professionally trained by two hard right wing conservatives. They don't have DisgraceBook...so maybe there is a chance they could win an election at a young age. My son could be the talker as he can manipulate almost anyone. And you'll get nowhere negotiating with my daughter. She is just like me only pretty. I'm the only one that can go toe-to-toe with her. I never lose but I sometimes just give up and let the clock run out.

          5. Yep - my influence is minimal also. I try to spend little time preaching to the choir. But I will spend a minute or more trying to convert the blind liberals....like the people I know that fled communist/socialist countries then come here and vote for Obama. I just tell it like it is on a few points...and it scares them.

          6. Yes - I'm traveling and sometimes I get this way. There are a few posts that prove it.

          Gotta go.

Could someone please explain why it's costing us money when 15% of the fed is shut down? i mean i know congress is still getting paid to take vacations and do nothing, but..? Also, if there are 800,000 non essential gov't employees then shouldn't those people simply be fired permanently? i know i'm using logic here; which is something libs don't understand, but oh my god! I think they just want everyone to work for them and they'll decide what "we the people" are allowed to be given.

The federal gov't should only be in charge of, and allowed to spend on, national security, infrastructure(roads, air travel...), and possibly nothing else. if they want to tax the crap out of us IMO, lets give the larger percentage to the state we earn the money in, and the smaller percentage to the feds. basically swap state and federal income tax levels. even though neither should actually exist.

What they are referring to as non- essential includes parks, police, and National Guard. They've attacked things average "John Q Public" use to get his way. White House tours? Cancelled? Really? Grow up Obama, quit acting like a spoiled brat.

Air Tool, I agree with you on most of your points but I'm tired of giving the other party seats at the table over abortion. It's the law of the land, I just don't want to pay for it. Marriage should be a man and woman, two of each should be called something else. While I believe in the definition of marriage I also respect the sanctity of the agreement. I'm not gay but I do feel there should be a legal bond providing protections for those who are.

              1. 2 terms max, across the board, any office any where in the 50 states.
              2. No congressional pensions. None.
              3. They passed this health care debacle on me, dang right they should be in it! No exemptions! Period.
