A Malibu customer's satisfaction is almost solely dependent on the dealer... And Malibu has some great dealers out there. But in the last 4 years there has been huge inconsistencies in the dealer network, and Malibu has left folks flapping in the wind. Lots of Ethical issues go unchecked, hack jobs not made right, refusing warranty if you didn't buy the boat there etc etc. all sort of garbage.

Malibu is owned by venture capitalists Black Canyon...the top leadership doesn't share the passion of the sport or faith like you see in CC or Tige... So you have a cold icy company selling pricey boats that will tell you to go get bent when they should be making things right when they come up short. Lots of arrogance in the top leadership, all millionaires,, and they could care less. Right now they are still riding the wave of the hard work that was put in 2000-2008 timeframe.... But the word is out and folks are learning what type of company it is. It's a shame, because there is good folks and good dealers, but the leadership is lost and a gouging folks solely I pursuit of $$. I went to Jack Springer myself and told him how his refusal to standardize dealer requirements as pertains to warranty were discriminatory towards veterans and others that move often away from home dealer....he didn't care to listen or make things right with the QAQC disaster 247 I had. Terrible build quality and terrible dealer network. Home dealer was awesome... Next 2 dealers were terrible. Refused service, hack jobs and lying, cheating ethical issues.

thats why I put Tige above Malibu.

Thats incredible to hear. Companies should back their products, it would be one thing if a top of the line boat was 50k but with how expensive these boats have gotten the last thing a owner wants to do is fork out more money to fix something that should of never gone wrong in the first place. It seems a new dealer should want to help you with your service so they could potentially earn your business for your next boat? Crazy how much social media can influence a companies reputation, I never heard that about malibu but it is good to know.
