230 with NSS Wakesurf setup?

From your experiences, what is the setup for ballast and "load of passengers" when using the NSS? Do I understand that both Ballast are filled and the NSS creates the Surfside wake? Only see videos and picture...have not surfed it nor seen in person. Would like to hear what the preferred setup is.

230 with NSS Wakesurf setup?

When I took a new 230 out on a demo just to try nss, we filled all rear ballast including pro ballast, and about 1/3 belly. 4 people sat evenly and both wakes were surfable. We didn't have time to weight it down more for my preference though.

Nss is deployed on the opposite side of the surf wake
