Looking to upgrade the gray carpet in my '06 220 with the new SeaDek material. I see the two options available are titanium or the faux teak. I'm really leaning towards the faux teak - seems really unique and different, but I'm concerned it will show dirt easily and be a pain to keep clean. Those of you that have it, how has it been holding up?

I love the SeaDek I have had in my boats! I have had it in my boats for the past four years, and it has held up fine. I have had both colors. It is way easier than carpet to keep clean. Just spray it off with a hose! It also doesn't hold water like carpet does, so it doesn't have that wet carpet smell.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. Flaudia-
I didnt now what to think about it coming over to Nautique.... in pictures it kinda looks a little cheap, maybe a little tacky.
Boy was I wrong. Hands down I love it. Spend one day in a boat with it and it you'll be sold on it.
It does NOT stain...even despite mine and my family's best efforts. Even had some used black motor oil spilled during an oil change.... wipes right off.
Doesnt hold water or sand like carpet.
Doesnt get as hot as carpet.
Doest stain like carpet.
Awesome texture on bare feet.
The only critique I have is I wish they offered a few more colors... specifically a lighter brown color.2019 G23 450

I've had the faux tique (brown). Love it. It does get hot though. Bought my boat used and it came with a slightly different color on the platform from the rest of the boat. Guessing the platform was swapped out at some point as I'm guessing the material is cut out of the same lot for each set per boat when new. So look to make sure all your pieces match in color.Peace..

I see that N3 Boatworks carries the 220 kit! This seems like something I'll be getting ready for spring time! Does anyone know if N3 Boatworks offers a discount for Planet Nautique members? For the entire kit I'm looking at $1,127. Anything would help!Last edited by flaudia402; 10-23-2013, 07:19 PM.

I see that Nautique Parts (While Lake Marine), offers the Seadek for the 220. Along with that, not sure if N3 Boatworks has made a mistake, or if they're just not including it, but the rear swimdeck Nautique Parts is offering, not only the 7 piece swim deck, but also the 3 piece transom kit included. N3 Boat works is charging separately for this ($84 for the 3 piece transom). $898 w/ Planet Nautique discount for the same thing from Nautique parts seems like a go.

Personally, I prefer the brown. Neither get very hot. It all depends on which looks better with the colors of your boat.I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. Have heard it has fade and/or colorfast issues, otherwise great.
It feels good on the feet but I have the faux teak and it does get hot which is why I think it's lifting. It bubbles up in the sun but next morning is laying down tight again.

Fla, I don't see where NP includes it? It says sold separately and rightfully so because you need to know for the transom steps if the boat has a lift ring or a rear tow point. The rear steps are the same kit as a 210. We both offer 10% discounts on the kits. I modified the kit because the original had a huge SeaDek Logo on it that looks kinda goofy. Alan, They should replace it all. I see bubbles from time to time but I personally thing it's an improper installation at the factory. Seems to only bubble up on the flat smooth surfaces(the flooring is installed over the knurled surfaces even on the G series boats). I would suggest a platform cover to go along with it to protect your platform material while sitting on a lift. Regardless everyone loves it and it works well. I can probably hook you up with some photos of the 220 conversion we did this spring.Zach@n3boatworks.com

Wait my bad!! I see what you mean now. That kit for the platform is a specific kit that includes the custom logo and the steps. I don't think it has an option to order if it has a tow point. The other kit has the lines oriented in the other direction to match the lines in the floor kit.Zach@n3boatworks.com
