There is a lot of lakes like this south of Indy. Some restrict ballast as well some do not. There is no restriction currently on what activities you can do and the speeds you can travel. I can see property owners lobbying against surf waves. Rightfully so, but if that happened then everyone that plows around in an IO at 12 mph with the trim up would also be barred from doing that activity. So the rule would end up being on plane or at idle speed which will never fly. These restrictions are mostly put up by rich old people on the lakes that have nothing better to do than sit around and think people are doing things wrong to excite their boring retired lives more. One of our business owners is on the board of his lake and that is exactly the scenario. I hope if I ever get so old and bored I have to get my kicks from screwing up someone else's good time that I will just exit.

This boat looks awesome, I cant wait to see it in person, and see the wake. Im shocked that it is still 5200lbs....it should still have an awesome wave. Unless I can get one with a 409 and trailer for 100k range I would just opt for the G23.

surely given the size/weight of the G21 the 343 engine option wouldnt be advised? didnt the g23 have the 343 engine option at the start?

Will be interesting how they price in Australia between the 210 and G23.

I live for the peaky legacy hull 210 wake!

It's great to hear that the G21 may be like this wake, only bigger!!!

Gotta remember, new upgraded tranny swinging a 17x17 prop much more efficient, less prop slip.

A 2014 G23 450 with this new 17x17 setup was so fast its only 1 second slower fully ballasted 0-23mph than a 550. Its equiv to a full engine upgrade or more in performance to what we initially saw in the 409 and 450 G23s.

Wow, a wake boat that takes up to 14 people and ruins the water for everyone else on the Lake. OTT over indulgence

I wonder how it handles the chop... Maybe a couple rough rides in our Sport 200 after we move off the lake to the coast next summer will convince my wife we need this. I'm pretty sure we need it right now.

"Better" is totally subjective, but I've been told from the people I've talked to over the past few weeks, and it appears that the G21 Stock wake is bigger than the G23 Stock wake, but a Slammed G23 is still bigger than a Slammed G21. The G21 is a little more customizable with NCRS and can have a bit more lip at the top. For me, a bigger wake is "better", so I think I'll be sticking with the G23.

By "fully ballasted", we are talking full stock ballast, correct? I did a test with the new 2014 G23 450 with the 17x17 prop and new tranny, and it still falls short of what the 550 can push by more than 1000 pounds.

Hope you guys are wrong. I think the g-23 is about 8'3" with tower down also. It sure doesn't look like the sides are as high in the 21.

If it doesn't clear a 8' door then thanks for nothing Nautique.... And rosewell the maker of the tower....
