The G21 is Here!

Eww, I don't like the FCT5 haha. We have modified center sections you just need to have someone with a very calibrated eye and measuring tape and a friend who is an excellent Tig welder then someone else who is a friend with a custom paint shop haha.

Yeah I think the Fct 5 is kinda ugly too. Maybe convince Roswell to run another batch of fct 3's made to fit the G! Regardless it would be a great option to get the dang g boats under a 8' door!

I'm glad I ordered the 23 instead of waiting on the 21. I'll trade the floor and back coolers, and the extra two feet for the additional wake ramp. The 23 has enough for us.

Cool, I'm surprised / interested that the 21' seem to have reports of steeper wakes especially since the beam length and hull shape remain the same. It would be really neat to ride them back to back. I rode behind Jeff's G23 in Charlotte this year and I couldn't have imagined a better wake.

Ultimately I will still probably go for the G23 for space purposes but it's really neat that they have the option! Asking this question purely out of ignorance (not trying to start a war), but what is idea of maintaining both the 210/230 lineup alongside the G21/G23? Don't get me wrong - board sports are totally my thing so I am NOT complaining. I guess I'm just surprised Nautique can afford to run "competing" models so to speak.

What is the "marketing concept" or "idea" between both sets of boats?

I like the idea of a SA line alongside the G line. The G's are great boats, but a bit too much hardcore for some people. I think the SA line is perfect for family boats with a good trade off to ski, tube, surf and board. Hope they will complete the SA line with a 250.. A little lighter than a g21, but with the interior of a 230++ .

They don't compete with each other. They are totally different. The appeal more to the customer who likes a more traditional wake boat VS a huge tall freeboard and blunt nose with rounded shapes. The re design was to provide these as more of a price point boat over a G series boat. A loaded 230 was so close to a base G most were just upgrading to G23s. (ie killing 230 sales and the same thing was on the horizon with the advent of the G21). The 210 and 230 are clearly very highly sought-after boats in the wake world and the 230 still provides what some say is the best of the best surf wakes. If you look at other manufacturers they have more boats in the same wheel house than we do. I keep up pretty well with offerings from other wake boat companies and it would be very confusing as a buyer with all of the options some of those guys have. Correct Craft is simple. If you have no interest in skiing then all you have to decide is if you want to go with the 210-230 or G series boats. Then from there its just size because all of the boats are basically cookie cutters of each other with added length.

Thanks for the description of the two sets of models. I was't really thinking and it's true that other brands have a similar setup (like malibu with their vlx/lsv and the 22 and 24 MXZ) - makes sense, thanks for the explanation.

Jeff, We looked at lake murray outside of columbia, the MIL area which jeff could tell you tons about, and the norman / wylie area outside of charlotte. I don't think you could go wrong with any of those areas. Each lake has communities that have both lake front and near lake front homes. Lake murray is so huge you have to think long and hard about what side you want to be on. The east side is very close to town which is very nice, but the west side has some super nice riding. Will be able to tell you more once we get down there and start exploring. I think it will take me months to learn that lake. I've never been on something so big before.

Jack, I guess the set of "dumb@$$ year round riders" will go up by one once i roll in for better or worse Will give you a shout once we get settled in. Since it will probably be a bit of a trip to come visit you I'll probably wait until we can connect again. Would be good to see you all again and check out the MIL area!

If Jeff comes down it'll just be a good ol reunion I can't wait because these are the last temps I rode in...


When I slid across the sunpad on my belly to lift the wedge at the end I got ice chips on my sweat pants because the overspray was freezing to the vinyl. Perhaps dumb@$$es is warranted

Does anybody know how high the windshield is from the ground no a g21 or g23 when on the trailer? From some photos it seems possible that a G without a tower may fit in an 8' garage. If that's the case, there may be hope for a future G tower which would allow the boat to fit in an 8' garage. Any G owners please measure or let us know your thoughts. Thanks.

Its not the tower that adds the 3-4 inches to keep if from going into a garage. The windshield is still to high for it to fit unless you have some trickery like posted earlier. All my information came from working with Buxton on this while I was building my house.

The tower hip sits higher than the windshield. I'm not saying the windshield is below 8' but it's definitely lower than the tower when folded. Just from eyeball the tower folded is 3-5" above windshield. Someone with a G could easily give us the windshield to ground measurement though I'm sure!
