I'm looking to pull the trigger on a 2014 SAN 210 purchase on Monday. The deal involves trading in my excellent condition '07 SAN 220 with under 90 hours for a loaded '14 SAN 210. Both have PCM 343 engines and pictures are below. I'm wondering what you folks think the in the Planet Nautique community feel the purchase price, trade-in and net out of pocket cost should look like in the deal. Currently, it looks like my net out of pocket cost will be around 45k. Does that seem right?

Your boat is worth about $40-45k, plus you would have to deal with selling it (not always fun!), $45k out of pocket is not too bad, especially if it already has the NSS installed. If not, see if you can get the dealer to include it in your quoted price...
Good luck, nice looking boat(s)!2008 230 TE-ZR6

Yes, the 2014 has NSS and everything else you can think of. I was told the MRSP is $103k with everything. $46k out of pocket, out the door seems reasonable, but I just want confirmation from the PN community.

If your out of pocket includes TT&L my guess is it is a fair deal. There aren't any 2007's posted on onlyinboards and the 08's run from $48k to $58k. I would agree that your boat is in the $45k range. You should be able to get the new one for approximately 85% of list or $88k, less your boat of $45k leaves $43k then add tax to it. If your financing it through them, they will also make money there too, so there may be more room in the price.
Good luck! It will be a great Monday.2013 G23 450 with NSS (175hrs) and still have the original prop

The $46k is out the door. No financing all cash deal. The 220 is the only boat I've ever owned. Should I bother considering any other brands? I realize this is a Nautique forum so I'm opening myself up there.

My third Nautique is at the dealer waiting for number two to sell. I looked and road four other brands at the boat show and couldn't leave Nautique because of the quality, warranty and dealer. It doesn't hurt to look, but my bet is you will be back.2013 G23 450 with NSS (175hrs) and still have the original prop

Hi Tvaleri,
Looks like a decent deal. That´s what they offer to me last year. I also have an ´07 220 and I am also considering that change.
I am looking forward to reading about your experience with the new 210. Please send a review/comparison with the 220 wake as soon as you try it.
Good luck
Joss

There so many small things on the new one that are great like not searching thru screens for volume control and just having a walk thru on the sun deck but the 343 with catalytic converters maybe the best thing the EPA has done by accident ever.
The new 343 runs so much better than the old one it's hard to believe and if you surf there's no nauxious exhaust fumes. As far as a deal it's alwAys a dilemma. I waited until the 14's came out and went for a leftover 13. The G-21 coming out May help the price of a 210 come down.2013 SANTE 210

tvaleri,
I've owned a Malibu 2002, Mastercraft X30 2012, Centurion 233 2013, and now a SANTE 230 2014. The quality of the Nautiques are just above all the other guys, the NSS was the deciding factor for us. We have different side riders in the family and being able to switch back and forth so easy sold us. Let me know if you want to talk any more in detail.

I really appreciate all the great input. I know for certain I'm upgrading on Monday. My only concern now is buyers remorse... Even before I close the deal. Since I plan on owning the boat for about five years, would it be a better economic decision to be looking at a G21? I can't imagine there being much of a purchase price difference between the loaded 210 with $103k msrp versus the G21. But I'm certain there will be a huge resale difference five years from now. Sorry for keeping this going, but I don't want to make a mistake. Thanks again for your thoughts.

Also, no one has asked the question, but if you bought your 07 new and only have 90 hours on it, I question whether you really need any boat. If I found myself using my boat only 15-18 hours a year, I would sell it and find some friends with boats. Now

I bought the '07 in mid 2012 with only 30 hours on it. I figure I'm good for about 50 hours per year. I'm 50 y/o and generally take my wife and two teenage daughters up with their boyfriends de jour. he kids wakesurf and I'm content to hang out in a cove, listen to music and eat. I figure we'll do this for another five years and be done with it. Boating is one of the few things that keeps my family together in a confined space. I suppose I could just stick with the 07, but it certainly isn't as cool as a '14 would be. Also, where would I be in five years with the 07 versus a 14. Tough call.
