Wow! That's how many boats volunteered for Wake the World events last year! What an incredible season, you guys are awesome! Our Wake the World family is growing like crazy! We have had events in 18 states + Alberta, Canada. We have already added 4 new events for 2014, NW Oregon, Mississippi, Smith Mt. Lake, VA and Lake Gaston, VA. Guys, I have been a part of wake the world for 2 years, and I am here to tell you it is a life changing event!!!! I encourage everyone on this forum to look into wake the world. We are very four-chant to have toys that enable us to enjoy what we love, being on the water!!! Giving back to others is what life is all about!!! -
These events are so incredible. Not only are you doing something awesome for the kids, you are also creating long lasting friendships. You will not believe the high caliber of people that volunteer for these events. I feel especially blessed because I know or have met most of them. There have also been a few romances that began at a WTW event.
I try make it to as many events as I can, but it has become impossible (and I am thankful that there are more events than I can go to) I try to make it to all the new events especially if they have never done an event.
The kids will absolutely melt your hearts......I absolutely love being there to share that joy!Comment

This will be my 5th year at Wake the World. This is an awsome program. We also have a program for disabled people. If any of you guys get a chance you should go to one of the events. It is life changing.Comment

I have been able to be a part of this from the start. I would like to say thank you to Greg (Waketheworld) for having an idea and the motivation to get the ball rolling. This is a very important cause and at the end of the day something I have always been very proud and fortunate to be a part of!
I really enjoyed being able to help with the adaptive side of it this past year and I am really looking forward to helping out with it again in 2014 as well as with our local children's homes. I know I take for granted the ability to jump on my boat all weekend or evenings during the week and enjoy a passion that many people never get the chance to even try. These kids and the adaptive groups are some of the most deserving and appreciative people.
If you feel the need to reach out and do some good I strongly suggest talking with Greg, myself or anyone near you that might also be interested. I know most generosity happens around Christmas and the Holidays, but it can also happen during my favorite (and I'm sure many others on here's favorite) time of the year, summer!
