    Removing decals, 2011 210

Just wanted some advice. I have 2011 210 with the Gryphon decal on it. The decal itself has a couple of tears in it from the previous owner and I have never been huge fan of it from the start. I was thinking about removing it and just leaving it blank, possibly putting on the wing graphic instead if the blank look doesn't look right. New decals are kind of expensive at around $750....

My concern with removing it is whether the chromax will look misplaced without having the graphic there and also whether there will be visible fade in the gel coat. The boat is in very good condition and has 140 hours, garage kept. Has anyone seen a 210/230 without the decals?

Mine is a 2012 and the colors are very similar, I took the giant Byerly script off the side within a month of having it home. There was still a bit of ghosting but after a polish you can't really tell. The script on mine was a couple of dozen separate reflective stickers and after a half dozen times in the water there was already one peeled off and several peeling so I new it had to go. My wife and I like the look a lot better but I got many more comments from people at gas stations that I would rather have not been talking too when it had more blingy graphics. I should have had a set ordered under warranty before I peeled them off so I could have them available if I ever sell the boat but I wasn't going to wait 6 months to get back to the dealer. We do still have the small winged skull in front of the black chromax, but it was a lot busier before, even as small as your graphic is as compared I like the simpler look a lot better.

          Hi,
I think it looks perfect with just chromax. The colors are classic and elegant so the griphon does not fit. I would spend the money in buying grey Seadeck to substitute the carpet. That will really make a difference.

              It's not a 210 or a 230, but here's our 200V ordered without graphics (just the chromax). I think it's a clean look.Click image for larger version
