Here is a low tech solution to creating surf wake. Pretty cool for folks that don't care about switching on the fly and want to save thousands of $.

Granted probably not high tech enough to be sold on a Nautique. But it does level the boat, and get job done, for probably 90% of would be surfers.

Nice, simple design. The wake looks pretty small though. I am assuming that they didn't have much weight in the boat.

No way to know what weight was in the boat. But it is fair to assume that it is not a 5,200 lb 21 foot boat like the g21, or a 5,400 lb 23 foot boat like the g23.

I just took another look at the video. The boat is the mojo 2.5 dry weight of 3,900 lbs.

Can anybody tell if you put that bit out on the opposite side, like NSS does? It seems to run under the water, and putting it further out on the opposite side wouldn't seem to change the steepness of the wake the way the video shows.

Would be interested to know as this is much simpler to add on then designing the NSS setup. But may not be as easy to automate as I really want to be able to switch sides and do transfers.

Will have to ask during boat show time.

I talked to a Moomba dealer in the midwest and they said parts have not yet become available. As far as cost, the most info they could give me was that the option is something like $980 for a new boat. I HOPE the parts are not that much, but we'll see.

I talked to a Moomba dealer local to me and their parts manager is making some phone calls and supposed to get back to me about what Moomba says. Supposedly these parts are going out to dealers with shipments for upcoming boat shows. That will be a good place to ask as well.

White Lake was hard to get a hold of when I tried calling a few days ago, so I haven't gotten any info from them.

Crap! So I just heard back from Liquid Wrench in NorCal here. They've been told this will not be available to purchase. It only comes on a new boat. I guess they are trying to keep this proprietary.

Let me know if anyone hears differently.

Anybody looked into this any further? I'd rather buy an off-the-shelf bolt on addition as opposed to actually building something...
