Where do you keep your surfboards?

I just bought a hyperlite landlock board that is like 5'9" tall. While in the boat today messin around i realized that i have nowhere to put it. It doesnt fit in my wakeboard racks and it doesnt fit under the observers seat or in the engine compartment. So what do you guys do with your boards?

We used to use a couple cam buckle straps and strap it to the top of the tower. Not the quickest, but it got it out of the way and provided some sun shade..

I have a Triple X which is a terrific surfboard, but won't fit in any racks.

it fits in the massive G23 observers storage. I have been thinking of adding additional racks... Several other vendors make racks that will fit thicker surfboards. They'd have to be clamp mounted to the tower.

i'd recommend you look I to getting surf seen into you Bimini... Simple, cost effective and works great.

If you have a tower, and if it is a 4 leg type, one option is to strap it with bungees to the top of the tower...just lay the board flat on top of the tower tubes and two bungees should hold it in smooth water cruising. I have a z5 now, but used the bungees on the old boat. Worked fine.

Do search and enter [surf pockets] . Go to {thanks to Tige }thread . We have enclosed the front of the pocket to prevent wind from getting under the boards since then.

I have an fct 2 so this sounds like a great option. I might go with some nylon straps instead though. Great ideas guys!

Strapped to the top sounds plausible. There was a guy that use to make tower mounts "Endless Wave" but I could not find him anywhere. Below is the link where wake9 tests it.

Keep the stupid surf boards in the garage where they belong.....

But if you must, strapping to top of tower with bungy cords works very well.

I have wrap around seating so that wont work sadly.

With the comment about leaving the surf in the garage i agree but some of my "heavier" friends dont want to come on the lake to wakeboard and i figured they would like surfing.
