FCT 4 on a SS/SAN?

Will a FCT 4 fit on a first generation Super Sport/SAN 210 hull?

I'm looking at a 97 super sport and the guy is selling an FCT4 with the boat uninstalled.

It partially depends on what boat the FCT4 was originally intended for. For example the width of a new 210 is much wider than a 97 SS. If it's an FCT4 for a 210 it probably will be too wide. I am pretty sure they make different width top sections to account for different beam widths so maybe he got one that will fit. The only way to tell is to take some measurements and even better would be to mock it up on the boat to see how the fit looks.

The 97 ss has pretty wide gunnels so it just might work. Just ask for measurements. If you dont like the idea and still like the boat you could do one of two things.

1. Negotiate a price without the tower

2. Take the boat and tower and trade someone the fct4 for a fct gen 2 ( like mine)

I like the boat and think I can get the price where I want it with or without the tower.

The seller says it will fit and he has been very forthcoming about the condition of the boat before I make the drive to see it, I just don't recall seeing them on the orginal SAN hull.

I'm not sure if work is going to allow me to go look/buy it this weekend so I'll hold out on the location. Can't have anyone swooping in on it!

What tower are you talking about when you say FCT4? The one that appeared on the 2010 only boats? See here:

Or the FCT 1 Gen 4 seen on the 210s/220s from 06-08. Because people have already fit that tower on a 95-01 210. See here:

Either one should be able to fit, it might require some modification for the FCT4

Ok, it's the second one you posted. So that should be no problem to throw on, correct?

It looks like the rear legs had to be bent, but it didn't require any cutting or welding. I think I've seen a couple 95-99 210s with that tower on. You can search for them and see how they did it.

BWB-745--I own the 1999 SAN in the link that beach shared with you. If that is the tower you're looking at, the fit will depend on the year and model the tower came from. This tower was used on 2006 210s which had the same hull (with different deck) as the earlier SANs and Super Sports and should fit right on. But if the tower is from a 210 after 2006 (or from a 220), it will not just fit right on. Mine came from a 2007 210. The front legs fit no problem. I used ratchet straps to bend the rear legs in to make them fit. But I had to bend them in past the point of just fitting so that when they sprung back they were at the right width and did not put pressure on the deck. I also used 1/2" aluminum backing plates that spanned the entire width of the deck to make sure that weight is evenly distributed. I have not had any problems with it. Good luck.
