My Star Gazer order has been placed and should be on my door step soon. I will be doing the install so stand-by I just might have some help questions to ask here on this thread. OK excited I am,,,.
What I have is the stock PP single line gauge,,,paddle wheel and servo on a Excal 330. Not sure where I will place the puck GPS reciever,,,think I will keep it under the dash and see how it does there. Been reading the pdf set up and operation and think I understand it,,,the rpm calibration and setting the speed base Im not to sure about.
The puck will need a line of sight with the sky. I placed mine next to the defrost vent by the dash pod. It connects to the deck with a little piece of Velcro. I'm assuming your SG will come with the new display? If not, you'll need one of course.
A cool little added bonus of SG is it also displays the time of day. Not necessary feature, but handy.
OK good stuff,,,ty. Yes I do have the new display to mount in also. I also replaced my RPM & MPH gauge with the update Faria gauges,,,hope they work along with the Star Gazer upgrade. I did not get the servo because theres already one on the motor. Good to know this thread is here and I will chime back in with my progress and any glitches or difficulties I may have with the install.
Thanks,Ron
