86 2001 cover help

I am scheduled to go in tomorrow to get a custom snap on cover for my 2001 Nautique. I was doing my homework and can't find anything really but mooring covers for the boat being on the trailer. I will have a dock in about 10 months but for now it is sitting in the water tied up at my neighbors dock. What have you all done for covers.

coversports makes a really nice cover for the 2001. It is pricey and takes like 6 weeks to get, but better than anything else i have seen or owned.

I would think long and hard about snaps before installing them. Covers with snaps work great but in my opinion they are not worth the eye sore of having the snaps screwed into your boat. I have seen some people that have installed the snaps under the rub rail so they are less intrusive and that looks much better. But a good canvas/cover shop should be able to make you a cover that fits well without the need for snaps. I like the ones with a ratchet strap at the stern so you can cinch the cover down tight.
