What's a pristine first generation FCT tower worth?

I picked up a '99 PRO AIR NAUTIQUE last spring (I know.......best time to buy). Thinking about picking up a FCT 2 and just curious what my tower might be worth before listing. The boat has been stored in a heated garage since new and the tower is in excellent condition and raw aluminum. Also, anyone have a FCT 2 they want to get rid of near Oregon? I build roll cages for early bronco's and considering building my own
    Thanks...........Crab

New Dimension makes a replica of the tower you're looking for.

Value of an the old tower... its weight in scrap metal. Pretty much anyone that is going to put a tower on a super sport nautique is going to go with a FCT2 or a new dimensions tower. My guess is you would be waiting for a while for a buyer. But if I were to list it on craigslist/forums I would ask around $250-500 if you want a chance at selling it.

I heard they FCT 1 will direct fit the older CC's/Nautiques, and perhaps it would be worth something to those guys?

My apologies. I originally read the thread thinking it was for a v drive. Im not sure what the difference in tower dimensions are between the two but as Crab said, if there is a possibility of it fitting older sport nautiques you might have some luck there.

I think you are right that these tower will pretty easily fit most of the early to mid 90's Nautiques. I think $250-500 is really the ball park and the key is to sell it locally because shipping is really prohibitive. I would like to sell mine that I took off my boat late last summer when I added an NDT. I plan to list mine on CL for $1000 knowing full well I won't get that but hope to get about $600-700 since it will include bimini, 2 board racks, nav light and it is still wired for sound. Not sure I will get that but I can't negotiate the price back and it's not doing me any harm sitting where it currently it Here are some links to two recent sales that were advertized on this site:
            http://www.planetnautique.com/vb3/sh...tower-for-sale
He listed it for $425 but not sure what it sold for.

            http://www.planetnautique.com/vb3/sh...rom-a-1999-SAN
This was listed for $500 and I think he told me he got $350 for it locally.

Also to answer your other question I am not sure you will much luck finding a used FCT2 out there. I looked for a while and never really came across any ones in good shape. Most of the ones I saw were taken off the boat for a reason and had some damage. I went with an NDT and could not have been happier with it. It is such a better looking and functioning tower than the original FCT. I ordered mine through onlyinboards.com and got a great deal on board racks as part of the package.
