Need a Wakeboard Tower 1994 Sport Nautique

Okay so I got some great advice my interior, now for a tower. Have a 1994 Sport Nautique and I'm not going to spend $2000 plus on a New Dimensions Tower. Yes it looks great and I know it's good.... I will not argue that it is probably the best tower for my Nautique.

With that being said I do want the next best thing at the best price. What do you suggest? I'm in California so keep that in mind if you have something local. From what I can tell by looks and price the 2 that stick out are:
    • Aerial Airborne
    • Big Air Vapor Tower

Who has one and how would you rate them? Is there anything else out there that still has some style at a reasonable price. Thanks for your help in advance.

Don't miss the Roswell Aviator. That's my current favorite aftermarket tower for mid-90's Nautiques.

Jeff I agree that is a beautiful tower and may actually be nicer the New Dimensions! Unfortunately it is even more than the ND.

I agree the NDT is pricey but I couldn't be happier with the quality, looks and ease of install when I switched out my FCT1 for an NDT last summer. But I fully understand wanting to spend half the price on a universal tower. I have never seen an Aerial Airborne or Big Air Vapor Tower in person but they both look pretty nice for universal towers and much better than Monster. I think the Aerials look pretty good on Nautiques:

I couldn't find any pictures of Big Air Vapor on a Nautique but they look pretty good on the MCs of that same vintage. I think I like the Aerial better of those two options but they seem pretty similar.

Another option in that price range is the one from DIYwake. Three of my friends have them on three different boats (large deck boat, Centurion ski boat and a Tahoe) and they are rock solid on each. They have been installed for over 5 years without any issues. These towers don't match the windshield profile very well but they seem to be a great product for the price.

Check out the Monster MTK, has a more updated look than their previous, and many accessories are available.

I really like my Indy tower. Very solid, folds easy, under $1k and the black looks nice. http://www.wakefool.com/indy-wakeboard-tower-black/

I have the Airborne on my 97 Sport. I think it looks pretty good. Just remember you get what you pay for. Aerial was good to order from but their customer service on the back end kind of sucks. I recommend mounting it on the top of the gunwales rather than the way I did it. I was in the same position you were in when I bought mine but if I had it to do over again I would spend the extra money and get a ND or Roswell even if I had to wait longer.

Thanks. After looking at the Monster it definitely doesn't look the best...... but seems to have the best over satisfied customers.

I love and hate my Monster MT1 all at the same time. Good product and customer service, but if I had a bigger budget in 2003, I would had purchased the ND. MT just doesn't do the boat justice, and the mounting points picked can really screw up the look.
If its not a competition ski boat, its always second best.

Okay so as I stated earlier I was going to buy a Monster Tower and well I did. Installed it today and all in all it went great. The front mounts were a little pain in the butt. They do a great job with instructions, tips and extra parts just in case. Actually needed an extra bolt( a little miss thread my bad) and voila Monster packed extra's in box.... home run on this Monster. Honestly I was very nervous and second guessing myself not getting a New Dimensions for a more factory look but after looking at this installed I think it looks pretty darn good.... yes I know doesn't look like a ND or the even sexier Aviator by Rosewell which I think looks the best overall as Jeff showed a picture earlier in this thread. For the money on a 20 year old boat this Monster for under $1,000 is a great overall value bottom line.

Anybody have any ideas a Bimini Top install. I'm going to roll to my local upholstery shop and have them modify mine but if anyone has any pictures of a nice setup I would love to see what you got. I'm not going to buy one from Monster as I want the largest possible one I can get.

Oh yea it was 86 degrees here in So. Cal. today. Crazy... going skiing in Mammoth next weekend and the River the weekend after. What a great blessing to be able to do this..... wow~!

I went the same route 10 years ago to stay in budget. It served its purpose on my PS205 and you really see the engineering and structure of how it all plays together when you DIY. Keep the bolts/joints TIGHT. The second year they really wanted to loosen up, I had WS Pro 80's (chose sound over tower) and the weight may have come into play as would a bimini? Add boards and racks and certainly is functional but it seemed to up the frequency of having to pull out the trusty harbor freight ratchet wrench to keep things tight and pull off the tower speakers. But yeah, value, strong enough, GREAT support and functional.
I didn't think I needed a bimini especially in Wisconsin, but man it is a nice feature on days when the little ones are on board and dad's nap time.
If and when you upgrade, you will have a new appreciation for ND/Roswell type products...I least I did.
                          Enjoy, it looks good-
