Which cover for G21.

I am not sure why they decided to offer two covers when one did it all last year...........

I was told they had trouble with the 2 way cover coming open at highway speed. The first time I towed with it I did have it start to open, but as long as I make sure to really line up all the velcro strips and get it really tight I have not had trouble since.

Kodiak--What bimini are you going with? Both the factory options are quality products, but both have their downsides. I would be interested to see the other options out there.

The dealer here has them made at a local place (not sure who) and they seem to fold up out of the way
better then the factory ones. They also claim the after market Bimini is easier to take on and off.

I will only tow with the cover on if the weather is bad.
I had my Mastercraft cover explode with no warning last year, although the cover was 8 years old.

We have never had an issue. I think for the functionality the 2 way cover is the bomb. We ordered some boats with no clue they had changed the process so we have covers that are down only on all the new stuff.

I thought the one-way covers were only for the G21. Don't the G23 covers still operate in both modes?

Don't think so Jeff, both 210 and 230 we have here are that way too. Gotta stretch those over covers on pretty good on the first time you use them.

It was not discussed as a product defect, as much as simplifying it to reduce the chance of it opening. If you don't get it just right it can start to open going down the road. Could apply to any boat cover, just with the extra zippers and velcro and stuff it was a bit confusing to put together, increasing that chance.

When I get it just right and all in place I have had no trouble. Love the cover and would take the 2 way over the new one way or the other covers.

I agree, the 2 way cover is pretty awesome otherwise. And it still works well even without the zippers.
