I know it is common when negotiating on new bikes to try and work a helmet or jacket or something into the deal. Has anyone ever tried to work a wake or surf board into a deal for a new boat?

When I got my Malibu, they gave me $1k credit for the pro shop to load up with boards, vests, lines, whatever. When I got my Nautique, it came with probably $500 worth of safety gear and accessories.. and they loaded us up with Nautique shwag.
Can't hurt to ask.

I used to throw in skis, vests, tubes, etc when I sold a boat at good margin (of the customer asked of course). If you get a killer deal on the boat, you'll be lucky if they throw in a dealership T shirt. I scored such a good deal on my '06 196 that the dealer delivered the boat bone dry on fuel. The owner of the dealership said flat out that the deal was so skinny that I was on my own for gas.'08 196LE (previous)

good point I would rather get the best deal on the item then get extras. I feel like I am kind of in a tight spot here I only have one "local" dealer and they are like 3 hours away and there really isnt anyone else that deals wakeboard boats in this area so they really dont have any competition but they seam to be working with me.
