Hey guys, I am new to the forums and I am excited to be a part of the Nautique community! Our family just bought a left over 2013 sport 200 team edition and my brother and I can't wait to get on the water. We came from an '02 Malibu response lx and we do a lot of wakeboarding and skiing. I have heard and seen that the ski wake is very good on this boat, but I haven't heard much about the wakeboard wake. Coming from the response lx, which is purely a ski boat, we are hoping for a better wake. We had a wedge, tower, and a fat sac in our response, and it put out a decent wake. Here is a link to a video from last summer riding behind it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2ljDEMQi3w. With full ballast and an average of 4 people in the boat, how is the boarding wake? Any reviews on the board wake and any other tips would be great. Thanks guys.

I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised by the wakeboard wake. It will be a big improvement from your 'Bu. you just bought probably THE best do-it-all boat on the market. Congrats and have fun with it!2002 Ski Nautique 5.7 GM Apex

We love our 200V. I'm not a wakeboarder but I've had a couple Pros behind the boat and a ton of the kids from the UF wakeboard team (ranked #2 in the country) and they were all impressed with the wake. I eventually pulled the stock ballast to install soft tanks to set it up more for surfing.

Yes the surfing is fine with stock ballast, especially with several people on board. I typically surf with just a driver on board so I added a 455 lb tank under the observer seat and an 1100 lb tank in the port locker. I had an extra 750 lb tank so that is now in the starboard locker (empty when surfing). I just didn't like having soft tanks piggybacked on top of the hard because you could never get the soft ones totally empty (no check valves).Last edited by Yiger; 03-02-2014, 09:56 PM.

washburnky...Nice riding :-) Check out this lil edit I did of my boy last summer. https://vimeo.com/78612380 The tow boat from 0:33 to 0:59 is a 2011 Sport 200. From memory there were 2 x v drive sacs and 1 x 350 tube sac in the walkway on top of the stock ballast along with 4 peeps? The wake was nice and poppy, and bigger than it looks in the vid :-)Last edited by Bevan; 03-03-2014, 05:14 AM.

Wow your son is really good! I need to work on my toeside inverts, he's got them down. And that wake looks so much bigger than what I was riding behind the malibu! I have a 750lb fat sac that I was thinking of putting right in the middle, what do you guys think? Thanks for all of the help and positive words!

Wow, he is indeed very good! I agree you'll be very pleased with the wakeboard wake on the Sport 200. I had a chance to slalom behind a Sport 200 when they first came out and was a bit disappointed at how big the slalom wake was. It was a very quick ski, the lake was rough, and we didn't get a chance to try tuning the wake or line length. I am an intermediate skier at best and have skied mostly behind outboards and I/O's so maybe my expectations were just too high. After skiing behind 20+ boats, my favourite recreational ski boat remains my former 1979 Glastron Future V162 with 115HP Evinrude OB :-) If it weren't for my kids wanting to surf... I'd get something else similar and save $40-70k!

Had a 2011 200V and loved it. Surfed with a boat load very well with stock tanks, boarded well with tanks full and I was told the people that slalomed behind it liked it too. 32mph and up nice wake but under 30 larger. Been on the lake all day with 7 plus and at points counted heads just to make sure we weren't over 9. Handled very well too. We just opted for larger and I wanted the NSS. Very nice boat.2013 SANTE 210
