I have posted this questions before in a general sense...but now it hits home more. I have been looking since last year to upgrade to a wakeboard boat from my 06 196, but I am having I hard time deciding between a SV 211 or a new hull 210. I plan to spend 75% of my time wakeboarding and surfing and the rest skiing and I also have 2 young kids that will be tubing. So I want to make sure the wake doesn't drown the kids tubing or when teaching others to ski. I have heard a lot of mixed reviews about the surf wake and wakeboard wake on a SV 211. Sounds like the 210 is easier to get a clean surf wake with out having to load it to the hilt like the SV 211. I desire a smooth rampy wakeboard wake after coming from my 196. (plus for 211?) My only concern with the 210 is that wake might be to steep with sharp lip..any thoughts??? Can you put more weight in the bow/ belly of the 210 to mellow out the wake? I road behind a 230 last week in FL and the wake was to steep and wide for me at 20.5 mph. I have the opportunity to pick up a 07 210 with fairly lowhours in excellent condition for the high 30s and want to make the right decision, since I can't ride behind yet. But I don't want to pass up what seems to be a heck of a deal if its the boat for me. Thanks for any help!!!

SV 211 vs. 07 or newer 210?
don't discount the value of the walk-thru with small kids. As for the wake, my answer is always the same: only you can determine what's good enough for you. For this kind of cash and it sounds like wake is fairly critical for you so I'd wait until you can try them. Also, for tubing I like having the 'ski' pylon (as well for skiing). The 211 is just a great all-around boat as long as you aren't trying to specialize in any one sport.
And don't forget Nauti-by-Nature has his 211TE for sale here in NC. Almost getting warm enough to hit the water for those with thick skin.

I have spent time in both, the 07+ 210 will do everything you described better, save one thing, skiing.
The 210 main cabin is bigger, reverse seating, and will surf better. If you can pick up an '07 210 low hours in the 30's, grab it!
The only knock on the '07 is the seating arrangement, but that's a preference, the rear hatches are smaller, but the main cabin is actually bigger than the '08+ boats, and you could still get a ski pylon for the '07 if that's important to you. If you have little kids, may want to build a cover for that pylon when they're chasing each other around on the sundeck!
As for the wakeboarding wake, empty, the 210 is mellow enough for newbs, could be a little challenging if you have a large crew on board as the wake will be bigger. To surf the 210, need a 750 in the surf side locker and some people in that corner.
211 needs that plus more to get a decent surf wake, think vent almost in the water!

Unless you want to run a slalom course skiing behind a newer 210 is jut fine. I have a freeride ski and pull it at 27mph and is a blast!! My 08 210 wake really flattens out with the wake plate all the way down so the wake is more ramp than peak which is perfect for less experienced or new riders. Surfing is no problem either with stock ballast and two people in one corner. What you will find is the 210 is a solid platform and requires very little if any tweaking as it sits. What ever you do after that it just gets better. Nautique Hunter can weigh in as well as we have the same boats.2008 210 SANTE

My money is on a 210 especially for that sort of cash. The new hull is like gold on the used market. The only odd quirk about the 07 is the bump out seat in the middle rear.Zach@n3boatworks.com

Thanks for all the great comments!! that's what I love about this site everyone is so willing to help. I would love to hear any one else who has experience with the surf wake of the 211. I know it's gonna be hard for me to pass up the 210 tho. Thanks.

High 30's for 07 210? I think the absolute lowest I saw last year at time was 46k...someone was sitting on 2 boats. From a value stand point, I would buy this NOW and if it didn't work out when the ice melts (if it ever does in the midwest) sell it for a profit?2006 210 TE

It's not the one in Miami, but I have been looking at that one and kicking my self for not testing it out when I was down in Florida 2 weeks ago. "The dude" what are your concerns with the Miami one, salt?? Axeman asked about the 200v and at this point it's to much for my budget, but would love to be able to get one.

I love my 04 211TE. Surf wake can be finicky, but we can get it dialed in with just 4 on the boat. I'm building my own NSS to make it better. I haven't skied behind a 210 so can't comment on that.
I got min two years ago for low 30s with only 130 hours and ZR6... so got a deal I couldn't pass up.
