Hey BJ. I have a 2008 211 TE and I will give you my thoughts. I originally purchased it because at the time, my kids were mostly skiing with a little wakeboarding and i felt it was a good compromise. Once we started using it, the skiing came to an almost virtual stop and it was full-time wakeboarding and surfing... so the main reason I purchased it for its cross-over abilities wasn't needed in the end so I really should have gone with a 210 from the start. However since I didn't, here is my honest view of the 211.

The layout is good with the walkout, very handy, but it can get a little cramped inside the cabin with more than 5 people in it. I like the looks of it as opposed to a 210 (I like the flowing lines curving down at the back but thats personal preference). Both the surf and wakeboard wake are good. I am just running stock tanks with a couple of 400 lb overflow bags in the rear. My kids are 13 and 11 and they can do some basic tricks and the boat is everything they need and more. For surfing, I can set it up fine and the surf wake is quite good...I have never had a problem with anyone not being able to surf properly behind it.

So in the end, it will depend on the users of the boat. This boat still has lots of room to grow into as far as my kids surf/wakeboard abilities are and I would think that's likely be the same for most people out here. You would have to be a fairly good boarder (inverts and tricks like that) to outgrow the 211. If that is your or your users skill level, then definately look at a 210 cuz you will want that extra pop but if your users are not that skilled and you like the look and feel of the 211 over the 210, then you won't be disappointed in going with the 211

"You would have to be a fairly good boarder (inverts and tricks like that) to outgrow the 211." This is so true, except everyone wants a boat, and ballast that is somewhat more then they need.

So my own advice is if you are wakeboarding/surfing more than 50% of the time than get the 210. Or you will be sorry, when you want - even though you don't need - that little bit more pop.

Surfing, and wakeboarding, I love my 210! I have even run the course in it, although it was a little big, it rounds out nicely for wake crossings.

It is for sale because I am considering something with NSS, maybe even going to a bigger boat.
