Question about trailer guides.........length of pads?????

I'm adding guides to my trailer, and was wondering if I should go with the 36" or 48" pads.

I would plan for 48, which means 50" pipe for the guide. I don't see any reason to go short unless you have something hanging out the side of the boat

watch the 48's if you have swivel board racks mounted low. Makes for a crappy launch!

I am not sure what trailer you have but the 48" pads fit perfectly on my 2002 Ramlin trailer. I have never had any interference between board racks and guides on the various deep and shallow ramps that I have used.
