    Rebranding sports as air nautiques...

So I have a 95 sport nautique that I added a tower and ballast to. How do you guys feel about people rebranding sports as airs when they update decals? I wanted to get new decals for my boat in the newer nautique font. I was going to either put "sport nautique" or " air nautique" on the sides in black. And then do the rear decal that says air, then has the air board logo, and 210. Which would either read air/210 or sport/210 depending upon which way I go. Unfortunately I do not have a fct tower, so that's one main reason I'm hesitant to put air. Although I think the air decals would look better. Let's hear it...

If you like the way it looks, who cares if it says "air" or "sport". Do what stokes you out the most. I usually try to stay with the original logos if I am rebuilding a classic boat (mahogany correct craft etc), but for a boat that is for fun.... Have fun with it, other people's opinions be ****ed.

Do what makes you happy. Technically its close enough to an air and would probably sell better than a sport. Better than putting Barefooter decals on a Ski hull.

With the only difference between a Sport and Air being graphics and standard options packages I wouldn't hesitate to put on Air graphics if you like those better. One thing to keep in mind is that you might have a lot of ghosting where the old decals where that will not be covered up if you switch graphics. So you should probably remove what you have and buff (wet sand if necessary) and see what it looks like before you order new graphics. Although looks like your boat is white where the graphics are so it might not be as hard to bring the gel coat back as it would with say black or red.
