setting up the g23 for wake surfing

I just traded in a '13 230 for a 14 g23 and wanted any comments on the set up for wake surfing. We had a good wake with the 230 using nss and 750 lbs on port, 400 lb on starboard and about 400 in the bow plus all the ballast the boat came with. I assume we won't have to add any extra ballast with the g23, but would love to see what other people have tried. Thanks

Roughly a 60/40 cheat to the surf side:

    11.4 - 12 mph
    NCRS 3-5
    NSS at 2-4

    full OEM ballast
    1100 in surfside trunk
    300-750 in other trunk
200lbs pop lead in the bow
^^^ this is how we run 75% of the time (3500rpms) around 12gph

when we really go heavy(4200rpms) around 15+ GPHs add:
    1000 other trunk
    750 in the bow

when my 9yr old son surfs, OEM ballast only, 2600-2700rpms
    NCRS 5
    NSS 3-5

thank you, the wake looks huge, especially on the off side (starboard) of the prop wash. Did you plumb in the extra sacks? We usually have 8 to 10 adults with us , and I hope we can weight it primarily with people and not a lot of extra sacks. We have been doing the sack thing for many, many years and it is kind of a hassle, but you do what it takes. Thanks again!

Yes definitly plumbed, Tsunami pumps are a PITA. All bags under seats or in compartments.... except when we sometimes opt for the additional 1100 triangle in the bow. 1100s pumbled in off of a Y valve using existing pumps and exisiting thru hull. not a single hole to be drilled thru my fiberglass. OEM ballast fills, throw a valve then the "piggy" 1100s fill sequentually off the Y'd OEM port/starboard pumps. the overfill relief is Y'd into the existing OEM overfill thru hulls on the down hill gravity side right before it exits.

Not sure where you live...but Blanton at Buxton Service Dept has plumbed my last 2 boats and he really knows what he is doing.... not a single kink, air burp, issue or failure in his setups once... and I use it every time we go out.

Did you have to get the timers reprogrammed on the link screen?

No need to.... the 1100s filled to their max in the compartments are around the same as the 3 OEM 950lb sacs. Very very close.
