    Lowering tower 2103 210

I have to lower the tower to get the boat in our storage unit. I fought for almost an hour yesterday with what to do with the Bimini when the tower is down. It has that support pole but the pole does not seem to have an obvious place to rest other than the seat and no way I'm doing that.

Does the cover go over the tower when the tower is down? Can anyone snap a few pictures of theirs with the cover on? I have stock cover and Bimini.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Which cover do you have? I suspect if the Bimini is tucked in to the "closed" position you should be able to lower the tower down and it would sit pointing towards the floor in the walk through area between the driver and observer's seat. The support poles on the sides should just come off or should be tucked with the Bimini as well. Is this not the case?

My 2012 was different (I had the Z5) and in order to put the cover on over the tower I had to take the Bimini brackets and racks off the tower...

The 13's have that butterfly style Bimini that does does ever really go down. The sides just fold in top if the center section and you slide the Bimini cover on so the middle section still extends forward the full length. To lower the tower, you remove two knob screws and as you lower the tower the Bimini extends forward and literally goes all the way to the front of the bow.

I think I have the stock cover.

So do the support poles not tuck in with the rest of the Bimini?

The piles that lock the Bimini in place when fully extended tuck it. The support pole I am talking about clips into the very front cross bar of the Bimini and supports the Bimini when the tower is lowered. When you lower the lower you have to disconnect two mounting points of the Bimini so it rotates forwarded over and in front of the windshield. There is a pole that is supposed to somehow keep the Bimini supported but I cannot figure out how or when it rests.
