Lol yeah. Not even mine. Just helping a good friend out. Boating and anything with it is just a hobby. I'm a Nautique nut. Owned many, and bought/repaired/fixed and sold 20+ boats over the past few years just for fun. I've been pretty intimate with the original 2001, the old 210, and now getting acquainted with with the new one.

Yes, the redesign would be just to get a visual on the emptying. overkill you ask? Absolutely. But I'm an engineer and thats just the way I'm wired.

And I already got him to order the green ones after I saw what was in there.

230 a pig? yeah unfortunately so. I think a lot has to do with where I started with the CC family. had a 17' american skier, then a '83 2001, and then the '03 SANTE. each one got progressively less nimble. Had a 230 for a few months that I flipped. It just seemed like a barge compared to the 210. not nearly as responsive at slow speeds, and when you want to just "go-cart" around on the lake when its butter on the way home, it just didnt give me that sports car feel being able to change direction so quickly like the old smaller ski boats were designed to do. This new 210 is okay. The lag in throttle engagement takes some of that fun away.

I know my brain is warped, but even though my passion for boating is mostly wakeboarding, I have a deep love for speed. The last "fast" boat we sold was a 145mph cat with twin 800hp motors. talk about cheating death every time we took that out.
