    Prop question on 2013 G23 with 450.

Just bought 2013 G23 with a 450. It has the stock 2313 prop. I am concerned about performance when loaded down. Anyone use the 2419 prop with 0.075 cup? Will this help the hole shot and be able to handle more weight? Any concern about high RPMs with this prop?

We typically do 90% wakeboarding and 10% surfing. Thanks.

Yes, it'll work very well for torque and heavy weights... But understand you'll have a 34-36mph top speed boat.

A 2315 is still a considerable upgrade over the 2313 tq wise. Faster acceleration when heavily ballasted. Roughly 2-3 seconds faster 0-23 with full OEM ballast over the 2313. Equates to you being able to carry 300-500lbs more where the 2313 would have got stuck. Decent increase in tq as described ^^... But not major earth shaking wow difference.

2419 would work well for a 2013 450 G owner who wants to go "extreme". Would be another 1-2 seconds faster on your launch while ballasted and carry a little more weight than the 2315. But understand you'll have a slow slow boat, high RPMs, loud boat, and burn a lot more fuel.

Thanks for the info. I am OK with the loss of top speed. I think we will go with the 2419 for the season. I assume the boat will be louder from higher RPMs.Our last boat was an MC X-45. We had sacs everywhere trying to building a bigger wake.

I put the 2419 onto my 2013 450 G23. It felt like a new engine! I did not time it or anything like that but time to plane and hole shot were noticeably faster. It handled the extra weight like a champ. I surf with OEM plus 2000 lbs water ballast plus people. Wakeboarding was much faster to plane with OEM plus extra ballast.

I did not pay attention to gas consumption or RPMs so I cannot comment there. In the end I wish I would have put it on as soon as I bought it rather than end of season.

Thanks, that helps convince me to go with the 2419.
When you are surfing do you have more weight on one side depending on goofy or regular?

When surfing, I primarily just run stock ballast and put people in the corner of the side the wave is on. I run NSS at 3 and NCRS is always at 5 for surfing unless I am pulling a beginner. I run 11.3 mph. At times when I have less people I will fill a couple of fly high 150 lbs bricks and move from corner to corner. This is because my crew has a number of goofy and regular riders and we are always switching sides. I prefer surf style over skim. The factory wave is lots of fun and long. I just have to pump a little harder for tricks.

When I am the only one surfing, I will fill stock ballast and 1100 lbs in starboard locker. I also put 300 lbs on the starboard seat or people. I fill the port sac about 1/3 full which is approx 350 lbs. I run NSS at 0 and NCRS at 5. Speed is 11.3-11.5 mph. Wave is sweet. Steep, beefy and long. I usually have one or two adults in the bow with the kids. Tons of push. Don't do this often cuz it is a pain to switch sides but every chance I get I do. It is the best wave and a blast to surf.
