He wasn't banned because of his business practices. He was banned because he blatantly violated this site's terms of use, after being directly told that he would not be allowed to use this site as a means of selling boats. The banning had nothing to do with his business practices. I simply made this post to alert people to what I have heard. I was simply trying to help out others based on what I have heard from a number of people who have dealt with him. By all means, if people want to deal with him, that's certainly their choice!
I own and operate Silver Cove Marine, which is an inboard boat restoration, service, and sales facility located in Mooresville, North Carolina. We specializes in Nautiques and Correct Crafts, and also provide general service for Nautiques fifteen years old and older.

If we can be of service to you, please contact us anytime!

Fair enough. I guess sometimes we forget you are actually a person with life experiences as well as this site moderator. Thanks for all the hard work.

I am a marine dealer and this is my lively hood and how I support my wife and daughter, pay my mortgage, and I don't appreciate you one bit slandering me and you don't even know me. I dont feed off the Buxtons over flow I have sold 21 Nautiques this year and none were from the Buxtons (until 3 I bought at one time last week). Bottom line is I dont know what your problem is, but I do know I dont deal in 80's model nautiques so I dont know why you have any reason to ever talk about me or my business. By the way we have owned a nautique since the day I was born get off your high horse and stop bashing someone who sells the boats because he loves them."

Just to be clear to the rest of you as to not offend Lee, my intent was never to slander. I only stated what was true to the extent I was told last summer about Buxton's overflow. Lee told me he often got boats from Buxton. Admittedly, I was a tire kicker... The boat was too high for what I was willing to pay. Hate to kick up settled dust, but apparently this PM is the caliber of what we are dealing with.
I checked LEE 817-797-1397 on your post and he said that what you posted in the PM is the truth of what he sent you so we know you didn't change his wording and he was glad you posted his view on this issue. He mentioned again what was posted in the message about the slander by those who do not know him or the facts as stated in the PM.

I just don't understand why some posters just don't call him straight in the face instead of posting here. All those with complaints should just call each other or live and learn.

I understand Jeff banning, but leave it at that and stay professional.

I would like to make a suggestion for any buyers out there.
Always do a Lake Test yourself or have a friend do it or get a Boat Survey before buying a boat to make sure the boat meets your expectations and that it also exists.
And then if having it shipped, get a video of the boat before you leave it for the shipper with contracts up the wazzooo!
Then make sure the shipper has good insurance.
Then take a video of the boat when it is shipped if you have any doubts. And by all means keep in contact with the seller through the whole process.
These are common sense practices that have been known in the boating world for years and anyone who knows anything about boats who fails to follow this basic rule should not be buying boats in the first place unless they like to gamble.
Any other ideas on buying a boat , please ad to this for future advice.

There usually is someone on this site that might be willing to check it out for you.

No brown nosing here but Jeff has sponsors that promote boats on his site. I totally understand why he banned him if this seller was violating the terms by selling a product not authorized by Jeff.

Now with that being said the bashing is utterly disgusting. Not cool to bash a business man when he can't defend himself. Being self employed is rough enough. I don't have a dog in this fight either but request Jeff remove all of it. It his decision

I believe Lee should be able to defend himself or that deletion of this thread should be considered. The selling of used Nautiques is his only livelihood ,and he should be afforded a voice in his business's reputation. This site is the definitive source for newer Nautiques and has great influence.

My experience with Lee has been very positive. You cannot please everyone though.
