    Rear Drain Plug

Has anyone come up with a solution on installing any sort or ball valve or way to have a rear drain plug where you can open it up without having to physically remove the rear plug? My boat is on a life so accessing the rear plug is hard to do with it getting wet. Here in Florida whenever extra water sits in the bilge it gets pretty gross and the bulge pumps
    Never get it all out.
My thought is to install a valve from the inside going out that I can manually open or close to let the extra water out.

    Thoughts?

Something like this might work for you:

If your boat is always kept on a lift and never moored then this is probably safe but I have zero experience with a product like this.

That was my poke at not having a good idea ha. Sounds cheap, but what about just an expandable rubber plug from the inside out? Plenty of boats don't sink with those in the drain plug holes. Another thought would be to buy and modify another drain plug thru hull fitting to fit on the inside. Cut the threads off the back of another for the outside piece so it seals to the hull and looks stock but thread the drain plug in from the back side out. Don't know if it would work. Seems like a lot of trouble.

As one of my bosses used to say.... "The Best is enemy of the Good".
Keep it simple and go for a proven over the shelve solution

I was considering connecting a longer hose to reach the drain

I was thinking of somehow doing a ball valve fitting that could screw
In from the inside to out and then I could open an close the ball valve fitting? I agree on something simple.

Trucks (big rig) have spring loaded drain valves on the air tanks. A cable is attached to the valve. Pull the cable and the moisture is drained out of the tank. You could put one on the inside. Pull the cable and the valve is open, water drains. Release the cable valve closes.

I like that idea. Would that spring loaded valve be able
                  To somehow be attached or
Screwed into the drain plug? Where am I able
                  To get stuff like that?

It would have pipe thread, but might need an adapter to get correct size. Any truck stop or truck repair shop will have them.
