acme 2261 vs acme 2309 G23 550 hp

Hi Guys. My stock prop on my new g23 550 is the 2261. just wanted to know if anyone is using the 2309 and get some feed back. I havent had my boat in the water yet so i dont know how the stock prop is. How much top end is lost by switching to the lower pitch prop.

You don't want a 12pitch prop on the 550. It will spin out and cavitate, Iron did it on his 550, too much hp/tq for such a small "water gear".

i challenge you to see what the OEM 15x14 can't do. I've brought full OEM ballast plus another 2500-3000 up to 23mph.

I will submit we 550 owners can do better than this ^^ OEM prop though... It'd likely be a 16x15 or so... If you find one let me know, it'd need to be custom made prop.

I've got a G23 with the XR550 im currently waiting a new custom made prop im hoping its only a couple weeks away!

If it works it means my G will get some more bags!
