Anyone dial-in 2014 SAN 210 for surf ?

So, we are weeks away from being in the water. I know it's trial and error. But, was hoping for some pointers or actually numbers that work for the best wave.

I have stock ballast, two sumo 600's and integrated bow sac. Surfing is our main focus. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm new to NSS and how it works as far as tuning it. Out last 200v I was moving bags and water throwing my back out weekly. Cannot wait to do this with a little more ease. I'm goofy, so don't mind those #'s too.

I've only had my 2014 out once, but it couldn't have been easier to setup for surf. Full ballast, including the optional pro ballast, set the NSS to 5 and go forever behind the biggest, longest surf wave I've ever seen. Just that simple.

We were out today and it's amazing. We were just cruising around with the kids because it was cool and the water was cold. Pulled the hydrogate back and set the cruise at 10.5 with zero weight and surprisingly it was a very nice wave. Just amazing what they've done with the new hull design.

I've been out once in my '14 with the factory pro ballast and NSS.

While I mostly wakeboard, many of my crew mostly surf, but this boat (IMO) puts out the best factory surf wave of any 21' or under.

The best part, like the poster above said, you just fill the ballast, set at 9.5-10.5 mph, NSS at 5, hydro gate at 2 or 3 and have fun! The wave is effortless and simple to dial.

The answer really comes down to what style surfing you do. If you like a dense wave (for airs and the like) then set It to 0. If you like a longer wave then set it to 5. Somewhere in between will allow you to adjust to your preference. On my 230 with the pro ballast (pro ballast sacks swapped out for 550lb sacs) I set it to 0 and speed at 11.2. I'm 6'1" and 170lbs and I have no problem riding that wave. In comparison, on my 2012 230 I had port side and belly stock tanks full plus 750lb in port locker, 550lb in the bow and another 550lb sac on the port side seats to get a comparable wave. So glad I no longer need to use the tsunami pumps!

I found ours like the NSS set to 0 as well, but have not had a lot of water time to mess with speed and settings too much.

One thing I do wish was that there was a desperate radio control for the driver outside of LINC. I found switching from the user screen to radio screen gets old quickly. Hopefully once I dial in the wave the user screen won't be used so frequently for adjustments.

I've surfed a lot of hulls and the 14 210 is honestly my fav. The wave characteristics change so quickly with the nss. our neighbour has a g23, we are using his to wakeboard, but everybody picks the 210 to surf. such a sick boat. What exactly were the hull changes from the 13 to the 14 to make it surf so well? From the outside the hull looks the same.

Setting the NSS at 5 is setting it at the lowest possible setting. I do not advise that.

I would suggest NSS at ZERO, speed 9.5 to 10, full ballast, and Hydro-Gate at 2 or 3. Port side surfing may work better with a one-person offset to that side. Starboard side surfing should be weighted evenly. These suggestions apply specifically to the '14+ 210.

Yes. The '14 210 hull was tweaked specifically to work better with NSS, and the NSS itself had a shape change for the '14 210.

You're exactly right....my mistake, I'm still new to NSS and I forgot the 0 and 5 are opposite the way I process it in my brain. Thanks for the clarification.
