I want to start this off by saying this is not my boat, I don't know the original owners, I have no ties to the current dealer/original dealer, or bank...
I got wind of a 2011 230 Team at the local fishing boat/pontoon dealer the other day. Went to look at it yesterday and it is a "volunteer repo". This dealer gets all the repos from this credit union which is why they have it. I'm not interested in buying, but thought someone here might be and it seems to be a good deal comparing to others on OIB.com. I took some pics of the boat as well as issues I saw so here we go!
2011 230 SANTE $69,500
ZR409 engine with 83 hours still has factory warranty, checked out by PCM technician
Onyx black, silver metal flake, white
Z5 bimini
Originally bought at Russell Marine in Alexander City, AL as a hold over in 2012
Stayed at Lake Martin, AL on a boat lift until making its way to Huntsville, AL in 12/2013
Currently is at All Pro Marine 2316 N. Memorial Parkway NW, Huntsville, AL 35810 (256) 535-6556
The dealer said the credit union just recently turned down a $64,000 offer. They have not listed it anywhere which is why it has been sitting since Dec. I'm sure.
Here are some shots I took of the boat...
Notice it's missing the starboard board rack. Not sure why.
Now here comes the bad parts...
Few minor decal scratches on the port side.
More fine scratches on the starboard side decal and gelcoat. I think these could be buffed out with some work.
I really don't understand how this could happen given the placement, but there were cracks in the gelcoat on the starboard side right under were the rear ballast tank that IMHO will need repair before I would personally take the boat on the water. They were about 2' long and 2-3" wide and it looked to me like the damage was done by something hitting the hull from the inside. The cracks bowed outward, not inward like something hit it while in the water. There were other scratches and scuff marks I didn't get pics of that were toward the bow on both sides. I think the lift they kept the boat on might have caused them. They were minor compared to these cracks.
Here is a copy of the build sheet Nautique sent to the credit union. The boat is really well optioned given the asking price.
Photo removed by admin because it had the boat ignition code listed!
