    Trailer

I bought my boat a few months back. I'm thinking abouth upgrading the trailer. It's a 97 SNOB on a 97 Shoreland'r (single axle). It's a nice looking trailer, but I don't think it pulls very well. Plus, it squeaks and creaks like it's 100 years old. Any experience with aftermarket trailers? I can't find a web site for ramlin.

Also, is single axle OK, or should I go for double? I usually don't tow more than 45 minutes away.

    RE: Trailer

Single axle is sufficient for that boat. Ramlins address is www.ram-lin.com and the site is very outdated. A tandem axle is harder to turn in tight spaces and harder to manuveur by hand. I would spend the money and get a nice ramlin trailer. These are the old Correct Craft trailers and you can't get much better than that.

You should also look at boatmate trailers. Stay away from the outdated wishbone design.
