Advice on 99 super air ballast

Will the 1100s fit in the rear storage? What about the 1000lb triangle for the front.... I'm trying to get the best wakeboard wake. ... if the 750s will make a good wake I'll them. How are you guys weighting your boats?

I am almost positive that the 1100s will not fit. The 750s fill up all of the room from side to side and the 1100s are 4" wider and taller than the 750s. I have heard that the Sumo Sac 900s fit but I imagine you'd really need to beef up the engine dividers if you use those. The 750s leave a good amount of room on top for vests and ropes and are more weight than you will ever likely need for wake boarding. If your primary goal is surfing then you might want to look into 900s because it makes a big difference when I add more weight to the rear corner on top of the 750 when surfing.

I also have a sac in the floor ski lockers that holds close to 600 (most people use this one: http://www.wakemakers.com/fly-high-rear-seat-sac.html) and for the bow I run the integrated sac that probably fills to about 400 lbs before it runs out of room to expand (http://www.wakemakers.com/fly-high-i...d-bow-sac.html). I went with the integrated sac because I like that it is hidden and I have heard that the triangle sac will slosh around a lot and mess up the balance unless it's totally full.

When I wake board I fill the integrated and belly sac as full as they will get and then I usually fill each rear sac to about 500. Going all the way to 750 didn't seem to make much difference to the wake but it makes it much harder for the boat to hold speed. The Python has no problem getting it on plane but I probably need more bow weight with the rears full to help it stay on plane easier.

I don't surf very often so still trying to dial that in but it seems to work best with no bow weight, belly about 3/4, full 750 on surf side plus a tube sac with another 150ish on top. If I have a light passenger load I will fill a 400 and put it on the rear surf side seats. I have experimented quite a bit with bow and more belly weight but it loses all of its push quickly when I add more weight up front. I haven't done much experimenting with a little weight in the 750 on the non-surf side but I have heard that can help.

Here is a pic of my 750 full for reference:

Fwiw, I just made an Order from wakemakers. Bought 2 750s and a 375 for the belly. Going to see how that does then probably add an integrated bow. Going to pump it with 3 ballast puppies.

Why a 375 when the back seat sack is 650 and fits perfect?

I had no idea. I think I can exchange it with no restocking fee. Going to call them.

I have 750s in lockers and 650 in ski locker and run 400 lbs of sand and lead in the bow. I think my wake is top notch. But some swear by the 1000 lb bag in the bow.

Personally i love hidden ballast and my nose dips enough without adding another 600 lbs.

i say get the integrated sack

I'm having a hard time figuring out where to drill the 3 through hulls for intake and drain. Anyone have any good pics of these? Brichter, I have your pics from your thread but you only did 1. I don't think I can feed 3 puppies with 1 hole.

I dont have a walk thru bow so i got a bit more room. 6 bags of sand and 100lbs of lead.

As far as thru hulls, on the port sise of the engine. Where i put my pumps is a good place, or further up in front of the engine. But make sure to spin ur steering wheel to both sides to make sure u are not obstructing the rudder.

I have a 99 SAN and have few good pics in my thread regarding my ballast install:

                          http://www.planetnautique.com/vb3/sh...allast-Install

I used the existing ballast I take for the center ballast and drilled two new holes for the rear sacs.
