    Adding a seat heater?

I am about to replace the skin for the drivers seat bottom on my 99 Super Sport and I was thinking of maybe adding a heated seat panel while I was in there. I just did some searching and I found the below kit that is meant for snowmobiles and ATVs that looks like it might work perfectly. It's meant for 12 volt applications, the dimensions seem about right and obviously it can handle the elements if it is meant for snowmobiles and ATVs. Can anybody think of a reason this won't work or why I shouldn't attempt this? I know it would make my wife much more eager to pull me on those cold mornings and late season runs.

I've always wanted to do this and probably will when my upholstery needs replacing. I just wonder if 20 watts is enough/too much. What wattage do cars use? I also wonder if you can get one with high/low features.

For $32 it has to worth a try. Especially if it gets you more ski time. Too bad it doesn't have reviews

Whatever it takes!, gotta have a willing boat driver to get a pull!! My boat driver liked the idea just now when I showed it to her!

Came here to post a link to that MC forum thread. That's about as close as you'll get for what you're doing. Brian is still reasonably active on that forum and would probably answer any questions you had.

Thanks guy, that is a good how to on the MC site that I hadn't seen before. I am still trying to decide if I'm going to do it or not but I will post up my results if I end up doing it.
